Our Story: A Moment of Trial
There are moments in life that arrive without warning, putting us to a test that goes beyond our ordinary strength. For me, such a moment occurred one Thursday afternoon in Boston, outside the synagogue and the "Shluchim" center.
I was sitting outside when suddenly an armed individual approached me. In those seconds, my first thought was not of the personal danger, but of the dozens of children who were inside the building at the time attending summer camp. I knew I could not let this person enter.
With G-d’s help (Siyata Dishmaya), I managed to lead him away from the entrance toward a nearby park. There the encounter turned violent, but faith in the righteousness of the path gave me the strength to stand firm against the darkness.
Today, as I look back, I feel a sense of gratitude for the privilege given to me to continue engaging in education and acts of kindness. My journey continues, with a daily reminder that every moment in life is a gift intended to add light.
